He currently serves as Senior Consultant and Head of Analytics at Strat369 in Malaysia, advising government and corporate clients on strategic financial matters. His career began in the Maldives banking sector, where he laid a strong foundation in financial services and spearheaded significant reforms at the Maldives Stock Exchange, including easing listing requirements and facilitating the nation’s first bond issuance. While serving in the President’s Office under the Maldives’ first democratically elected government, he played a pivotal role in tax reform, privatization, and fiscal stabilization efforts during the global financial crisis.

With robust academic training in economics, finance, and data science, Hameed has held data specialist roles at the University of Nottingham Malaysia and the Asia School of Business. He has also consulted for dSilo, a New York-based AI startup, and conducted policy research at Open Source Enterprise.
